Assessment Centres

Assessment centres offer a series of different types of assessment methods designed to measure individual behaviour strongly related to various job demands. The main purpose is to assess behavioural attributes and practical skills of participants via observation of behaviour. Assessment methods can include psychometric assessments, practical exercises or work samples and interviews. Typical exercises used in assessment centres include but are not limited to:

  • In-basket exercises
  • Role-plays
  • Group discussions
  • Practical problem solving exercises In our assessment centres, we use a combination of instruments to assess suitability of candidates to various jobs or competency levels in order to determine developmental needs of candidates. The choice of which instruments to use is guided by a competency profiling exercise which is conducted and agreed with a client.
